"The Grace Help Centre is a holding facility that provides accommodation and rehabilitation for abused women and children and vulnerable children who are on their own. It is a non-profit organization registered with the Department of Social Development registration no: 031-333 NPO. The SARS tax exemption PBO Reference No is: 930012582.

The North West Province consists of approximately 3,5 million citizens and many of the women and children from this area suffer various forms of domestic violence. According to our records 70% of our victims come from the Rustenburg area. In many instances, women have no place of shelter, safety or a place of restoration and they end up remaining in the home situation hoping that things will improve but seldom do. There are hundreds of cases of abuse, abandonment of children and domestic violence reported daily and unfortunately very little is done about this problem as there are no suitable facilities available with the exception of ours.

The Centre provides toiletries, clothing, transport, counseling, food, shelter, payment for schooling free of charge for however long these victims remain our care. In addition to our partnership with numerous Social Welfare Organizations, we have also linked up with the local South African Police Services to assist in all their cases relating to rape, assault and domestic violence.

Grace Centre was established in 2003. We can accommodate up to 40 victims of domestic violence and child abuse per month. Our expenses are very high. However, we are hereby calling upon our communities and businesses to become partners with us in fighting this unacceptable crime of domestic violence and abuse against our women and children.

Would you please consider giving us a monthly donation of:

A section 18a certificate can be issued to companies and individuals who make financial contributions to enable them to submit a tax claim. Donors must provide proof of deposit or an invoice before the certificate can be issued.

Should you at any stage require additional information or wish to visit our facility, you are more than welcome to contact me Rina at 072 348 6526 or 014 – 574 3476.

In closing, thank you for your willingness to make a difference."
