Strong woman
Would you believe me if I told you I just spent the last 24 hours curled up in my bed, crying most of the day?
Would you believe that I was very close to a panic attack?
Would you believe me if I told you the mental and emotional toll was so unbearable, it will take my body at least two days to recover?
Would you believe me if I said I struggle with my mental health?
For years I couldn't bring myself to share my truth. I genuinely feared being judged and mocked. Friends and family were always of the opinion that people who claim to have mental health issues are either "dramatic", should "find a hobby", and my personal favourite - "can't be suffering from something that's not real".
Mental health struggles are very much real. Normalising conversations about mental health and advocating for change is absolutely necessary! And I know speaking up is easier said than done, but trust me when I say - no one deserves to suffer in silence.
If anything, I truly hope this space we've created and what's to come will give you a little bit of hope and make you feel heard and supported.
P.S: Posting this has taken me completely out of my comfort zone, but I felt this needed to be said.
"If you can be anything, be kind."
I support this 100%and I hope it helps some people.
